Mushrooms

Shitake, mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, wild mushrooms, mushroom picking and tasting, purchase of mushrooms, and provision of recipes for mushroom dishes.

  • Mushroom growers offer tours outdoors and indoors to talk about how mushrooms are grown, what their valuable characteristics are, and how they can be used as food. Consultations are offered on how to grow mushrooms.
  • Visitors can purchase various mushroom products such as dried mushrooms.
  • Some farms offer not just tastings, but also whole meals of locally grown mushrooms. If the farms do not offer meals, there can be a partnership with nearby dining facilities, where visitors can taste mushroom cakes, sauces and other interesting mushroom dishes.
  • Some farms offer a chance to pick mushrooms in special locations. Visitors join the owners, who are familiar with mushroom species, thus identifying those who are of low quality or poisonous.
