Aivars Žieds is the manager of the “Kalnēni” homestead in the Vāne Parish of the Tukums Administrative District.  He smokes tasty meat and fish, conserves various fruits and vegetables, and produces exclusive jams, juices and syrups from things that he grows on this farm and finds in the nearby forest.

Contact Aivars in advance, and he will prepare a tasting menu for you.  Enjoy cheese and mushroom soup, sandwiches with home-smoked meats, as well as crêpes with homemade jam.  The owner of the farm will also be happy to offer you a tour of his cellar.  You can buy the products that he makes right there on site.
