Danger points: At high water (in early spring and late autumn), a short section of the trail between Nida and Preila may be flooded. Be careful at the washed-out coastline as it can easily collapse!
Accommodation: in Pervalka or surroundings.
Road surface: Sandy beaches, single-track forest trails, paved pedestrian/cyclist lanes. Pavement and cobblestones in populated areas.
Difficulty level: easy
Good to know: From Pervalka, it is recommended to take the circular nature trail (4–5 km) along the coast of the Curonian Lagoon to Horse Cape, which offers amazing views of the Nagliai Dune.
Accommodation: in Juodkrantė.
Road surface: Single-track forest trails and other trails, sandy beaches, paved beachside walkways.
Difficulty level: medium
Danger points: Be careful when crossing the main road on the Curonian Spit (No. 167).
Good to know: Check the ferry timetable in advance from Smiltynė to Klaipėda: www.keltas.lt . The New Ferry is used by vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, while the Old Ferry is available only to pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternatives: You can walk to the pier (an additional 2 km out and back) from the Sea Museum (1.5 km from the Old Ferry).
Accommodation: in Klaipėda.
Road surface: Mostly sandy or sandy/pebbly beaches and single-track forest trails, short section of wooden walkways. Pavement with hard surface in Klaipėda and Palanga.
Difficulty level: difficult
Danger points: Keep a safe distance from the seaside bluffs. They are soft and can easily collapse under you!
Alternative: It is possible to do a shorter hike till Karklė and have private transfer to Palanga.
Accommodation: in Palanga.
Road surface: Mostly sandy beaches, narrow forest trails. Pavement with a hard surface in Palanga and Šventoji.
Difficulty level: easy
Accommodation: in Šventoji or go by bus to Klaipėda.
