For the promotion of bread traditionsSIA Saldus Maiznieks, which was founded in 1992, is a family business that produces approximately 2 tonnes of rye bread daily, which is made by using malt and natural leaven. The company offers excursions, during which the visitors are allowed to try the role of a baker. The excursions are conducted by Kristīne Kriņģele, the apprentice baker of Latvian Chamber of Crafts. |

A tour of the bakery, observing the processes, tasting different types of dough and sourdough, and learning the secrets of cooling and packaging bread. Tasting at the end of the tour.
